October 29, 2013

— Two suspects are being sought in connection with a theft in the parking lot of a Northeast Richland grocery store.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said the victim was loading groceries into her vehicle Oct. 22 at the Food Lion, 9810 Two Notch Road, when a suspect approached and took her purse from the shopping cart and fled on foot.

Lott said later, two suspects, a black man and a black woman, were seen in surveillance videos trying using stolen credit cards. Some of the businesses the two were shopping at included Walgreens and Rite-Aid locations as well as Macy’s. The suspect vehicle is described as a silver sedan, possibly a Mitsubishi.
