Columbia man charged with stealing $10K from employer

— Martin Gay Suber, 76, was a property manager for Forest Center, LLC a small property leasing company in Forest Acres. He admitted that he wrote checks to himself totaling more than $10,000 out of the company’s bank account, the arrest warrant states. State Law Enforcement Division agents used bank records to confirm the facts of the confession which took place between January 2008 and October 2012.

Suber was charged with one count of breach of trust with fraudulent intent. If convicted he could be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison.
