Man sought for breaking into business, stealing candy bars

— The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is searching for a man who broke into a Broad River Road business and stole candy bars.

Just after midnight Monday, a male suspect broke the front glass door at 1601-A Broad River Road and stole a number of Nutymax candy bars, according to a sheriff’s department press release. The estimated damage and loss of merchandise is estimated at more than $1,000.

The sheriff’s department has released a video from inside the business.

Sheriff Lott is asking for assistance in identifying the suspect responsible – with a cash reward of up to $1000 for information leading to the arrest of the persons responsible you can call, email or text your anonymous tip to 888-CRIME-SC.
