Man faces charges in Palmetto Palms break-in

— A man faces charges in a break-in earlier this week.

Romulus Alford, 25, was arrested Tuesday and charged with burglary, larceny, and malicious injury to property in connection with the Tuesday incident at Palmetto Palms, 9401 Wilson Blvd., the Richland County Sheriff’s Department announced Wednesday.

Sheriff Leon Lott said just after 5 p.m. Tuesday, the suspect broke into a residence, taking several items. Deputies and a K-9 unit tracked the suspect in the mobile home park, Lott said, and the stolen items were found.

Alford was taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
