Thursday letters: Keep criminals off streets

October 31, 2013

— How many more innocent people have to lose their life or have it destroyed before these judges realize that the criminal thugs who come before them with a rap sheet longer than their leg are not going to become law-abiding citizens? They don’t care about spending a few days in jail when they know they will soon be sent back on the street to resume their thuggery.

Where is the chain gang when we need it? A slap on the wrist isn’t working.

James Maxwell
