Parker helps Cardinal Newman top Ben Lippen

Running back Zakki Parker had 21 carries and three touchdowns for 162 yards as Cardinal Newman beat Ben Lippen 21-3 on Friday night.

Coleman Bacon added with 17 carries for a total of 96 yards for the Cardinals.

Ben Lippen tallied 38 yards of offense.

Cardinal Newman improves to 6-4, 5-4. Ben Lippen falls to 2-8, 2-7.

At Chapin, the Eagles completed their sweep of Region 4-3A, edging the Bulldogs.

Camden scored first but fell behind by two touchdowns in the second quarter.

The Bulldogs (5-5, 1-4) made it a five-point game in the final minute of the first half, when Denzel Martin completed a 5-yard pass to Chase Truesdale that made the score 19-14. But the Bulldogs never could catch up.
