Thursday letters: Affordable Care Act pathetic

November 7, 2013

Listening to President Obama referring to the Affordable Care Act’s buffoonish progress as being a successful federal endeavor reminded me of Henry Ford’s classic remark: “Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the government take care of him better take a closer look at the American Indian.”

If we can’t find enough people in Congress to repeal this pathetic piece of Democratic Party dreck — remember citizens, no Republicans had a hand in creating the Affordable Care Act — perhaps we can attain a modicum of truth in our future legislation by having this thing renamed for what it really is, the Unaffordable Care Act.
