— Columbia’s election commission on Thursday certified the outcome of Tuesday’s election that sent all four incumbents back to office.

The commission reviewed 20 provisional ballots, accepting four and rejecting 16. Provisional voting occurs when there is a question about a voter’s eligibility.

All 11 ballots from voters who moved without notifying election officials but sought eligibility to cast ballots were accepted, the city clerk’s office said.

Voters easily returned to office Mayor Steve Benjamin and council members Sam Davis, Tameika Isaac Devine and Leona Plaugh.
