Kirk holds lead at suspended McGladrey Classic

Sea Island, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Chris Kirk carded a 4-under 66 on Friday to grab a 1-stroke lead as the McGladrey Classic was suspended for the second straight due to darkness.

Kirk finished two rounds at blustery Sea Island Resort at 8-under-par 132, which is a stroke ahead of Kevin Chappell (68), Briny Baird (70) and Webb Simpson (68).

John Senden also sits at 7-under, but will need to complete his final hole when play resumes at 8:00 a.m. Saturday.

Jason Kokrak (65), Scott Brown (68), Ted Potter, Jr. (67), and Tim Clark (67) share sixth place at 6-under. Brian Harman (68), Matt Every (68) and Brian Gay (72) are tied for 10th at minus-5.

Jonathan Byrd and Seung-Yul Noh are also at 5-under through 17 and 14 holes, respectively.
