— Myrtle Beach police charged a 32-year-old woman in connection with a 27-year-old man being attacked while he was in the bathtub, according to a police report.

Reed Gasque, 32, was charged with criminal domestic violence after officers were called about 12:15 a.m. Tuesday to 53 Longleaf Circle, police said. Gasque remained at the Myrtle Beach Jail at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday pending a bond hearing.

The victim told police he was in the bath tub when Gasque walked into the bathroom, accused him of adding one of her friends to his favorites in his cellphone and then argued with him, according to the report. The victim said Gasque threw items from the bathroom at him, scratched him and grabbed his hair.

The victim said Gasque assaulted him while she held a 2-year-old child, according to the report. The victim said he was able to get out of the bathroom and another child in the house woke up and called 911 at Gasque’s request.

Gasque told police she argued with the victim, but the officer noted she gave three different stories about what happened between the couple, according to the report. The victim also told police he recorded the incident on his cellphone, but it was damaged by water. Officers planned to obtain the video at a later date.
