Pedestrian walking on Harden struck by hit-and-run vehicle

— A man walking on Harden Street near the Drew Wellness Center was struck by a vehicle and seriously injured Saturday night. Columbia police are investigating the incident as a suspected hit-and-run, spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons said.

The pedestrian was walking south on Harden and was at the intersection with Walker Soloman Way shortly before 6 p.m. when he was struck by the southbound vehicle. The driver did not stop and is accused of leaving the scene of an accident. The pedestrian is being treated at a local hospital for serious injuries, Timmons said.
