LEXINGTON 1 has received an Arts Curricular Innovation Grant from the S.C. Department of Education. It will be used to help implement the Stepping Into Arts Integration project in the district’s elementary schools.

RICHLAND 2 has named Debra Hamm as district superintendent.

AIRPORT HIGH SCHOOL is accepting nominations for its Alumni Wall of Honor. Nominations must be submitted to Joni Coleman at Lexington 2 no later than Dec. 18. To request an application, email jcoleman@lex2.org.

MILITARY

AIR NATIONAL GUARD AIRMAN 1ST CLASS LLOYD Q. HARRIS has graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Elizabeth Harris of Columbia.

ARMY SPC. THOMAS J. SUDDES has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson. He is the son of Paul Suddes of Columbia.
