Coroner identifies man killed in Saturday crash

— The Batesburg-Leesville man killed in a Saturday afternoon crash on Interstate 20 was identified on Monday.

Michael A. Robinson, 38, of Corley Bridge Road was killed in the 3:45 p.m. collision near Broad River Road, Richland County Coroner Gary Watts announced.

Robinson was the driver and only occupant of the vehicle. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from his vehicle. He died at the scene from multi-trauma.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
