City of Columbia holiday ornament

With the holidays just around the corner, the city of Columbia Monday unveiled its 2013 “Official City Ornament.”

The Babcock Center Foundation’s “Ornament of Opportunity” was revealed at a news conference at the Columbia Museum of Art. The ornament, made of 24-karat gold, is the 21st in the collectors series.

Ornaments cost $14 and may be purchased at the Babcock Center Foundation Office at 2725 Banny Jones Ave., West Columbia; at the Columbia Visitor’s Center; the Columbia Museum of Art Gift Shop; or by calling (803) 799-1970. Order forms are also available online to be mailed to the Foundation at P.O. Box 3608 West Columbia, SC 29171.

All proceeds from the sales of the ornament benefit the Babcock Center Foundation.
