Update: Assembly, Blossom reopened to traffic following crash

Updated (7:30 p.m.): The intersection at Assembly and Blossom in downtown Columbia has been reopened to traffic, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.

Original post (6 p.m.): A collision at a vital downtown intersection has the roadway blocked.

According to the S.C. Highway Patrol, the crash at Assembly and Blossom streets did not cause any injuries. But it is blocking traffic.

The crash occurred at about 5:45 p.m., according to the SCHP.
