Thursday letters: Men marry women, period

November 21, 2013

Until our sad present apostasy, Christian teachings were the foundation of wholesome law and orderly society in this country for 350 years. Our societal declension abounds exponentially. Jesus limited marriage to a man and a woman.

In Matthew 19:4-6, Jesus said: “Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh.”

Just fact, from the beginning. No need to mince words. Attempted joining of two men or two women as one flesh is against the teachings of Jesus Christ and nature. It is, at best, a sexually satiating relationship but barren as “one flesh” and useless as to the fruit of the womb — children. It cannot produce life. In order for such “marriages” to have children they must harvest children produced in a natural relationship.

It is wiser to agree with Jesus than with Victoria Middleton (“Treat fellow citizens fairly,” Sept. 18).
