— Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a 20-year-old man they say shot a man earlier this month.

Hasheem Sherrod Roney is accused of a Nov. 1 shooting in the Budget Inn parking lot on Zimalcrest Drive off Bush River Road. He is wanted for attempted murder.

The victim was found around 5:30 a.m., with a gunshot wound to the upper body. Prior to being transported to Palmetto Richland Health Hospital, the victim told deputies that Roney was the shooter. Also inside the vehicle was a large sum of money and a backpack that contained a sizeable about of marijuana, according to a press release.
