Dunkin Donuts robbed by armed suspect

— An armed robbery suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money Monday night from the Dunkin Donuts on Broad River Road.

Sgt. Curtis Wilson with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department said shortly before 10 p.m., a man robbed the restaurant at 1525 Broad River Road. When the employee wasn’t looking, the man ran jumped over the counter and pointed a handgun at the employee. Wilson said the suspect forced the employee into a back room and hit her with the gun,

The suspect then opened the cash register and took money.

Richland County deputies are searching for the suspect, but did not release any additional information.
