Riggs Partners in West Columbia received ten awards at the statewide InShow competition.

Jon J. Robertson, a certified financial planner with Abacus Planning Group in Columbia, has graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama with a Master of Laws in Taxation.

Ned Hill has joined Mortgage Network as a loan officer in the Columbia branch.

The S.C. State Library has hired Jessica Dame as a metadata librarian in the Information Services department, Rachel Driggers as a reader advisor for Talking Book Services, and Kristi Sligh as a continuing education consultant in the Library Development department.

HEALTH CARE

Dr. G. Fredric Mau, owner of Watermark Hypnosis and Brief Counseling in Columbia, will present at the International Congress of Hypnosis in Zurich, Switzerland.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

A3 Communications, which is headquartered in Irmo, has been named the 2013 Education Market Partner of the Year for North America by Axis Communications. The company also has achieved Cisco’s Advanced Collaboration Architecture Specialization.

Dalays Lantigua has joined the Eric Loebs Allstate Agency in Columbia as a licensed sales producer.

Turbeville Insurance Agency in Columbia has acquired the Lanier Agency, which was formerly based in Lexington.

LAW

W. Taylor Stanley has joined Callison Tighe & Robinson in Columbia as an associate.

A team with Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein in Columbia has helped German-based company xperion select a manufacturing facility site near Columbus, Ohio.

REAL ESTATE

EXIT Realty Corp. International has recognized nine Columbia-area agents with production awards. In the Columbia office, Jae Kim received the Gold Award and Mike Taylor received the Bronze Award. In the Irmo office, Katherine Wrisley received the Silver Award. In the Lexington office, James Bouleris, Bill McCarter, Dena Mixon, Craig Summerall, Sallie Chester and Adam Bedenbaugh all received the Bronze Award.

ERA Wilder Realty has hired Permeco Myers as an agent in the downtown Columbia office, Denise England as an agent in the northeast Columbia office and Ashley Flott as an agent in the Irmo office.
