— Police arrested two suspects who were in the middle of stealing a television when the homeowner caught them.

Jessica Nolff, 21, of Cassatt and Kayla Leake, 18, of Richland County, have been charged with second degree burglary after they broke into a home in East Camden. Police say an unidentified man also broke into the home, but was able to get away. Police are still searching for the third suspect.

According to Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews, around 2:40 p.m. on Dec. 4, a homeowner returned home and noticed something was out of place. She went to the back of her home and found three people walking down the steps carrying her television.

Police say when the homeowner confronted the suspects, they dropped the television and ran. A City of Camden employee who was in the area saw the women running and assisted a Kershaw County deputy in apprehending both women.

Deputies found a backpack on one of the women, which contained other stolen items.

Both women are currently waiting for a bond hearing at the Kershaw County Detention Center, and investigators are searching for the third suspect.
