December 5, 2013

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) – Authorities say a body pulled from the water near a Lowcountry marina is a man missing for 11 days after crashing his car on Interstate 526.

Someone called 911 Thursday morning and reported the body floating near the Daniel Island Marina.

Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury says the body is 38-year-old James Brown, who was last seen on Nov. 24 walking away after wrecking his car on the I-526 bridge over the Cooper River.

An autopsy has been ordered to determine how Brown died. His body was not found far from the bridge.
