The girl, whose age was not listed in the report, was charged with third-degree assault and battery, police said.

Officers were called at 8 p.m. Monday to a home on Wildwood Dunes Trail in the city for an assault, according to the report. The man told officers that the girl is the daughter of his girlfriend and she had hit him in the back of the head with a pillow.

The man said he took a photo of the girl and she got upset, cursed at him and asked him to delete the photo, according to the report. The man said when he told her he refused to delete the photo she hit him with the pillow.

The man said it was the first time that the girl had attacked someone in the house, according to the report. The man said he wanted to press charges to “show the offender that she cannot continue to assault others.”

The girl told police she was watching television when the man came into the room and changed the channel, according to the report. The girl said she argued with the man and got upset because he was talking down to her.

The girl said she has never gotten along with the man and that he talks down to her, according to the report. Officers did not see any injuries on the man.
