— UPDATE: SCE&G has completed repairs on a broken gas line that closed a segment of Farrow Road between Gary Street and Koon Road on Wednesday. Gas service has been restored to those affected by the line break, an SCE&G spokeswoman said.

EARLIER REPORTING: SCE&G is currently working to fix a gas main break on Farrow Road, according to an SCE&G spokeswoman.

The break occurred when a contractor, who was putting in a fence, dug into the gas line, an SCE&G spokeswoman said.

All lanes between Gary Street and Koon Road are currently closed, and there is no word when those lanes will reopen.

The line has been turned off, and two customers are without gas right now.
