Sandlapper Singers

The Sandlapper Singers Christmas concert, “O Holy Night” includes the Young Sandlapper Singers, Neil Casey String Quartet and Katie Taylor on harp. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3600 Devine St., and 7:30 p.m. Friday at Seven Oaks Presbyterian Church, 520 St. Andrews Road. ‘The Two Claras’

The contemporary tale of the “Nutcracker” will be performed by the Columbia City Jazz Co. Friday and Saturday at Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College. Performances are 7 p.m. Friday; 7 p.m. Saturday.

Santa’s Gingerbread Jamboree

Event for children at EdVenture will feature photos with Santa, gingerbread cookie decorating, story time with Frosty the Snowman, face painting, holiday arts and crafts and the museum’s Snowville exhibit. 9-11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday and Dec. 21 at EdVenture Children’s Museum, 211 Gervais St. Pre-registration is required. Tickets are $18; EdVenture membership discount is available at registration. Tickets include general admission.
