Governor’s Mansion Tours: Guided Christmas tours of the Governor’s Mansion will be offered Thursday and Tuesday-Dec. 19 at 800 Richland St. Times are 10, 10:30 and 11 a.m. Tours are free, but reservations are required. Call Nancy Bunch at (803) 737-1710 to schedule one.

Sandhill Holiday Market: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday, Clemson Sandhill Research Station, 900 Clemson Road. Vendors will sell fresh foods, crafts, jewelry, baked goods, produce and more. The event will also include an appearance by Santa. (803) 699-3187

Capital City/Lake Murray Country Visitors Center Holiday Open House: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and noon-4 p.m. Sunday, 2184 N. Lake Drive. Clemson Extension Master Gardener Program: Applications are being accepted through Friday. The course meets from 9 a.m.-noon Thursdays beginning Jan. 9 through mid-May (and 8 a.m.-11 a.m. on the third Thursday of each month) at the Lexington County Clemson Extension Office, 605 West Main St., Lexington. The class is limited to 35 students. The course fee is $300; payment will be requested after the selection process is complete. Colonial Christmas in Camden: 2-5 p.m. Saturday at the Kershaw-Cornwallis House at the Historic Camden Revolutionary War Site, 222 Broad St. Play colonial games, write with a quill pen, meet a militiaman, and sample 18th-century refreshments. Historic Columbia Foundation Candlelight Tours and Carriage Rides: 5:30-9:30 p.m. Dec. 20. Take a tour of one of the foundation’s historic houses: the Robert Mills House (1616 Blanding St.), the Hampton-Preston Mansion (1615 Blanding St.), or the Mann-Simons Site (1430 Richland St.). Activities will be offered for children and musical entertainment will be provided. Guests can also enjoy a carriage ride through the Robert Mills historic district. Santa’s Little Helpers: Through Dec. 20 at the Carriage House at the Robert Mills House and Gardens, 1616 Blanding St. Cost is $6 per child (ages 3-8). Enjoy the holiday season with the Historic Columbia Foundation. Children can make crafts, play games, listen to stories and have their picture taken with a Victorian Santa.
