Wynonna and The Big Noise

Five-time Grammy winner Wynonna Judd and her band, The Big Noise, present “A Simpler Christmas,” 8 p.m. Thursday at Newberry Opera House, 1201 McKibben St., Newberry. More ‘Nutcracker’

The annual production of ‘Nutcracker’ by the Columbia City Ballet continues its run at the Koger Center with shows 7:30 p.m. Friday; 3 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday; and 3 p.m. Sunday. Tickets on sale at www.capitoltickets.com or the box office at (803) 251-2222.


Breakfast with Santa

The annual tradition is 8 a.m. Saturday at the Robert Mills Carriage House, 1616 Blanding St. Enjoy a continental breakfast with seasonal music, followed by a tour through the Hampton-Preston Mansion. See a Victorian Christmas tree and make a holiday craft. Don’t forget to get a picture with Historic Columbia’s Victorian Santa Claus. Admission is $12; ages 4-12, $3; age 3 and younger, free.
