Funeral Tuesday for Kennedy Branham

Kennedy Branham is surrounded by family and friends during the "Pray 4 Kennedy Tribute" celebration at River Bluff High School in Lexington Saturday night.


— Funeral services will be held Tuesday for Kennedy Branham, the Lexington teen whose two-year battle with brain cancer inspired thousands and ended Friday.

She was 14.

Funeral services will be held at Lexington Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Tuesday. There will be a private burial service.

In Kennedy’s obituary, published in The State on Sunday morning, the family thanked the Children's Center of Cancer and Blood Disorders, Palmetto Health Children's Hospital, Hands of Hope Pediatric Hospice Care, and everyone that prayed for and supported Kennedy and her family.
