ORANGEBURG COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

— A man has been arrested after DNA evidence linked him to a 2011 burglary at a home on Camden Road in Vance.

In May 2011, a homeowner called police after finding her home had been broken into. A video game system, prescription drugs, check books, clothes and shoes were all taken.

A pair of work gloves found at the home led to the positive identification and arrest of Marquel Hakeem Bryant.

Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said Bryant’s arrest shows the agency’s dedication to to solving cases and making arrests regardless of how long it may take.
