Irmo woman, 22, killed in crash, 4-year-old survives

— A 22-year-old Irmo woman was killed in a crash near St. Andrews Road Thursday morning, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.

Ashley Faith Mitchell was killed in the one-vehicle crash, according to Lexington County Coroner Harry Harman.

There was also a four-year-old in the car who taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash occurred in the 1700 block of Burning Tree Road about 10:19 a.m. The accident is near the Interstate 26 exit to St. Andrews Road.

The accident is still under investigation by the Lexington County Coroner’s office and the S.C. Highway Patrol.
