MYRTLE BEACH — A Myrtle Beach man is facing additional charges related to the sexual assault of a minor in December.
Dashandre Jacorey Sampson, 20, was charged Tuesday with third degree sexual exploitation of a minor and disseminating obscene material to a person under 18, according to an Horry County Police report.
Officers searched Sampsons home Dec. 14 after he was arrested and charged with third degree criminal sexual conduct, second degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 16 and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
When police searched his home in the Carolina Forest area, officers found a cellphone with a selfie photo of a topless girl, the report said. Sampson, police said, responded with an inappropriate picture. The girl told Sampson she was 15 in Facebook conversation in November, the report said.
Sampson remained jailed Thursday.
The Dec. 14 charges stem from a 16-year-old girl reporting that Sampson had raped her after giving her alcohol.
The girl told police that between 4 and 6:30 p.m. Dec. 13 she met with Sampson after having an argument with her father and they went to Sampsons apartment where he gave her something to drink and she became incapacitated, according to a police report.
The victim said she was unable to fight or stop Sampson, who had sex with her, the report said. The victim said when she did wake up, Sampson took her home and she then went to the hospital where police were called.
Court and jail records showed that Sampson was arrested on April 5 and later released on April 8 on $20,000 bail after he was charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor between the ages of 11 and 14. That charge remains pending.
