MYRTLE BEACH — After local residents filed an online petition to Nancy Grace, the television personality is expected to discuss the case of Heather Elvis of the Myrtle Beach area during an airing of her television show Monday night, according to a HLN posting on her website.
Elvis was last seen about 2:30 a.m. Dec. 17. In a report filed late Dec. 19, a police officer on patrol saw the 20-year-olds vehicle parked at Peachtree boat landing and called her father, who is the owner, to inquire why it was parked there.
Her father said he last heard from Elvis about 10:43 p.m. Dec. 17 when she sent him a text message. There is a $25,000 reward for information about her whereabouts.
In a description on the Graces website it showed she will speak to Elvis parents and ask anyone with information about the womans whereabouts to come forward.
Hundreds of volunteers searched wooded areas and ponds in an area along Tidewater Road during the weekend for clues regarding Elvis. The CUE Center for Missing Persons, based in Wilmington, N.C., organized the effort.
Anyone with information about Elvis' whereabouts should call Horry County police at 843-915-TIPS.
