Two shot outside Columbia business Thursday morning

— Richland County Sheriff’s deputies received a call of shots fired around 7 a.m. Thursday morning in Columbia.

Deputies found two men who had been shot, one in the upper body and one in the lower body, in the parking lot of the East Room at 3315 Broad River Road.

According to Richland County Sheriff’s Department spokeman Sgt. Curtis Wilson Both men were taken to Lexington Medical Center, and their condition is currently unknown.

Sgt. Wilson also said police believe the shooting was a result of a domestic situation.

The shooting is still under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIMESC.
