— A Georgia teenager was killed Wednesday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash in Aiken County.

The 18-year-old female from Evans, Ga., was ejected from the 2004 Jeep Cherokee after it crashed on Dixie Clay Road. According to the S.C. Highway Patrol, the vehicle left the roadway on the right, lost control, turned back to the left and struck an embankment and trees.

Helen Reid, 18, was identified as the victim by the Aiken County Coroner’s Office.

The driver of the vehicle and another passenger — both 20 — were transported to a local hospital.
