Monday letters: Target those who run red lights

January 13, 2014

20000713 RED LIGHT

— I hope Columbia can find a police chief who will address the disregard of our traffic laws.

Drivers routinely run red lights with no regard for others. Cracking down on these dangerous violations will save lives and most likely take these drivers off the roads after a few tickets and large fines.

One month of enforcement would make drivers think about their actions and bring greatly needed funds to our city. Safety needs to be brought back to our streets.
