— South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is heading back to the Tar Heel state next month for a fundraiser, a Raleigh TV station reported.

From WRAL:

The Feb. 3 event will be hosted by Theresa Kostrzewa, a well-known Raleigh lobbyist ranked as one of the most influential practicing around the North Carolina legislature, and her husband, Bruce Tucker. Those who wish to be credited as "hosts" for the event are asked to contribute or raise $3,500. Other attendees are asked for $1,000 per couple.

"I first met her during Pat's (Gov. Pat McCrory's) campaign," Kostrzewa said Tuesday evening.

Kostrzewa said a lot of her business contacts have dealings in both North Carolina and South Carolina, so it makes sense for the South Carolina governor to raise money north of the state border.

"She's really bright. She's articulate. I identify with her. There are very few female office holders for whom I feel that," Kostrzewa said.

Hopefully this trip to North Carolina will go smoother than her last one that turned out a bit eventful.
