Friday letters: S.C. needs more solar power

— Maybe if our monopolistic power company would allow more solar, its customers wouldn’t have to endure power outages when there is below-normal freezing, and it could keep those dollars rolling in for SCE&G stockholders.

It appears very few people lost power in North Carolina — which was colder and ranks third in the amount of solar power on the grid. Solar power for the people of South Carolina.
