Shot fired during home invasion, mother, children uninjured

— Richland County Sheriff's deputies said unidentified suspects broke into a home at 107 Lambeth around 2 a.m. Friday morning and fired one shot.

A female victim told deputies she, her son and daughter were asleep when they heard a gun shot inside the house, Sgt. Curtis Wilson, spokesman for the Richland County Sheriff's Department, said.

The woman told police the three woke up and found the front door had been forced open.

Wilson said there were no injuries.
