The following will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

GOVERNMENT

• Federal offices will be closed Monday.

• Fort Jackson offices will be closed Monday.

• State government offices will be closed Monday.

• Richland County offices will be closed Monday. Solid waste collection will remain on schedule.

• Lexington County offices will be closed Monday. Solid waste collection will remain on schedule.

• Kershaw County offices will be closed Monday.

• Columbia city offices will be closed Monday. Solid waste collection will remain on schedule.

• Forest Acres city offices will be closed Monday. Solid waste collection will remain on schedule.

• Lexington town offices will be closed Monday. Solid waste collection will remain on schedule.

• West Columbia City Hall and city offices will be closed Monday. Monday’s solid waste will be collected Wednesday.

• Cayce City Hall and city offices will be closed Monday. Monday’s solid waste will be collected Wednesday.

• Irmo town offices will be closed Monday. Solid waste collection will remain on schedule.

• Batesburg-Leesville offices will be closed Monday. Solid waste collection will remain on schedule.

• Springdale town offices will be closed Monday. Monday and Tuesday’s solid waste will be collected on Tuesday.

The S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles will be closed Monday.

SERVICES/BANKS

• Post offices will be closed Monday.

• Many banks and credit unions will be closed Monday. Check with your branch to verify.

• SCE&G will be closed Monday.

• Lexington’s Joint Municipal Water and Sewer Commission offices will be closed Monday.

• Richland County Recreation Commission offices, recreation and community centers will be closed Monday. LinRick golf course will be open Monday.

LIBRARIES/MUSEUMS

• Richland Library, including the main library and all branch locations, will be closed Monday.

• Lexington County Public Library System, including all branch locations, will be closed Monday.

• Kershaw County Library will be closed Monday.

• The State Museum will be open Monday.

• The S.C. Military Museum on National Guard Road will be closed Monday.

• EdVenture will be open Monday.

THE STATE

• The State newspaper’s advertising, business and circulation departments will be closed Monday. In the event of a delivery problem, customer representatives are available 6:30-11 a.m. at (800) 888-3566.
