Rocky Creek Elementary principal to retire

— Veteran educator Lynn Boyleston is retiring in June after four years as principal at Rocky Creek Elementary School west of Lexington.

Lexington 1 Superintendent Karen Woodward described Boyleston as “one of the finest principals I’ve ever worked with.”

Boyleston rose from the ranks as a teacher to principal during 37 years as an educator.

She won awards for leadership and working with students and parents.
