Three arrested in Cayce for making meth after shoplifting call

— Cayce police pulled over a car that fit the description of the getaway vehicle involved in suspected shoplifting Thursday night from the Dollar General store located at 2441 Charleston Highway. Inside they not only found the package of underwear allegedly shoplifted but also a container emitting fumes and smoke, the Cayce Department of Public Safety said in a news release.

Officers with the Cayce Methamphetamine Lab Removal Team and the State Law Enfocement Division were called to the scene at Charleston Highway and Frink Street, and the three people in the car were arrested.

Charged with shoplifting and multiple counts of manufacturing methamphetamine were Brandi Joiner, 25, of Columbia; James Gleaton, 28, of Graniteville; and, Rodney L Williamson, 33, of Gaston. The three suspects were at the Lexington County Detention Center Thursday night awaiting a bond hearing.
