Friday letters: City’s pit bull proposal bull

January 24, 2014

TRACY GLANTZ — Tracy Glantz

— I’ll pay any fee to keep my beloved baby girl, but the city’s proposal to charge higher fees for so-called bully breeds is absolute bull (“City mulls high permit fees for pit bulls,” Jan. 15).

The only time I’ve ever seen a “bully” dog, or any other dog for that matter, on a thick chain is in photos taken of a investigation for dog-fighting or neglect.

Fine and charge the vermin who are at fault for not being responsible, caring owners, and help the poor babies who are subjected to their carelessness.

Don’t tax the families who have taken care to raise dogs who have proven how awesome and gentle and loving they are. Treats are expensive.
