ARCHITECTURE

The Greater Columbia Section of the American Institute of Architects has elected officers for the 2014 term. Executive committee members are: John Powell, president; Robyn Fisher, vice president/president-elect; Josh Bucher, secretary; Michael Wenzinger, treasurer; David Sickinger, past president. Midlands director is Josh Boltinhouse. Board members are: Tripp Riley, Justin Abrams, Dewey Ervin, Christopher A. Beard, Andrew Rogerson, Coral Brandt, Tara Jerdan, Alison Martin and Wendy Bertani.

EDUCATION

Elizabeth “Libby” Roof has joined Richland 2 as executive director of communications, and Martha Jones has joined the district as director of strategic partnerships.

NONPROFIT

The Healing Families Foundation has elected directors to serve as officers for 2014: Ashley Hunter, chair; Kyle Carlson, vice chair; Stephanie Heckart, secretary; Marvin Robinson, treasurer.

MMC Pastoral Counseling Center has opened at 226 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, in the offices of Zion Lutheran Church. Dr. Bill Mitcham is director and pastoral counselor.

The Columbia Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management has elected officers for 2014: Elliott Wilson, president; Karen Luchka, vice president/program chair; Rhonda Midgette, membership chair; Christi Sheppard, treasurer; Mylene Virata, secretary. Board members are: Terry Baggott, Jill Menhart, Jenny Buck, Jim Faddell, Susan Wilson, Bryan Gates, Leigh Anne Conrad, Deonca Shuler, Karen Smith, Melissa Evans, Vida Jennings, Sharon Woodward, Diane Frea, William Floyd and Hagood Tighe.
