Early morning fire damages Leesburg Road home

— A Sunday morning fire severely damaged a house off Leesburg Road in Richland County, fire officials reported.

No injuries were reported, said Brick Lewis of the Columbia Fire Department.,

The fire at the one-story took place at 213 Spreading Branch Drive. Firefighters had it under control by around 8 a.m., Lewis said. The house is less than a mile from the southern border of Fort. Jackson.
