— A new baseball stadium? All I want is a new garbage can.

After I lived in the same house (and paid taxes) for more than 20 years, the garbage can lost its lid and a wheel. For more than four months I have called, emailed and actually spoken to a real person. When I received responses, they were always different than the previous ones, and all equally unproductive.

No. If the city does not have the resources to address basic sanitary needs, then where are the resources coming from for this grand undertaking?
