S.C. State University will not hold a vigil Monday night for 20-year-old student Brandon Robinson as previously announced on various social media sites.

Robinson, an engineering technology student who also played on the school’s football team, was shot to death outside a dormitory Friday afternoon.

Another student has been charged in the shooting.

A SLED investigation is continuing, spokesman Thom Berry said Monday. He declined to release details.

The university is still finalizing a memorial for Robinson, and will release details once the arrangements have been set.
