Tuesday letters: Pit bulls are dangerous

January 28, 2014

TRACY GLANTZ — Tracy Glantz

— I was a fence contractor. I witnessed firsthand the perils of confronting a pit bull many times: mauling other dogs within a mile, disfiguring a little girl’s face and climbing an eight-foot fence like a ladder to get out. Many home insurance companies will not allow pit bulls.

I love dogs, but pit bull owners should be required to have a license. My neighbor is a runner; a pit bull attacked her on the street.
