Columbia Police Department Investigators say the 16-year-old teen who was shot during an argument Wednesday at Latimer Manor is now cooperating with authorities and has provided them with valuable information.

Columbia police were called to the 100 block of Lorick Circle just before 5 p.m. Wednesday after an apparent argument between two males, according to department spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons.

The victim, who was taken to the hospital in stable condition early Wednesday night, is now recovering from non-life threatening injuries, Timmons said.

In November, a 16-year-old alleged gang member was charged with attempted murder, accused of shooting and paralyzing a 14-year-old girl at the same housing complex in north Columbia.

Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers, (888) CRIME-SC.
