Thursday morning fire engulfs structure containing ATVs, truck in Blythewood

— The Columbia Fire Department responded to a fire on Michael Road in Blythewood about 3:20 a.m. Thursday morning.

Columbia Fire Department Spokesman Brick Lewis said the structure, a 25x30 personal garage/shop, was fully involved as units arrived. Crews had the fire under control by 4 a.m., he said.

No injuries are reported at this time.

According to Lewis, the garage contained a couple ATVs, a truck, other equipment and tools.

The fire is under investigation by the Richland County Fire Marshal's Office.
