Suspects caught on camera attempting to use stolen checks

— The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is searching for two suspects accused of breaking into a vehicle and stealing a checkbook.

Sheriff Leon Lott said the two suspects smashed the window of a 2008 Jeep Commander in the 1600 block of Fairhaven Drive sometime between 3 and 4 a.m. on October 30 and stole a checkbook.

The suspects were later caught on surveillance video attempting to use the stolen checks at Food Lion at 3901 Two Notch Road, Sheriff Lott said.
