— Richland County authorities released surveillance video from a local Wal-mart hoping that the community can help identify two suspects wanted for assault and shoplifting the day after Christmas.

The crimes were committed between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Dec. 26 at the Wal-mart behind Spring Valley High School, at 10060 Two Notch Road.

Surveillance video shows a man and a woman stealing merchandise and then pulling a knife on an employee who confronted them, Sheriff Leon Lott said in a news release. The two fled the store and drove away in a white Suzuki.
